Unexpected Initiative

An unexpected initiative brought in a surprise donation this month. Peter Sheridan had the innovative idea of asking his friends and colleagues to participate by suggesting that each should suggest a favourite song. A CD was made containing a pot pourri which reflects the musical tastes of the whole group. Then each participant made a contribution to La Esperanza. Some people increased their contribution by making a donation in lieu of birthday gifts and one person made a donation in memoriam of a recently deceased relation. The scope of the initiative was extended when Peter attended a conference in Northern Ireland and a number of colleagues also decided to support the project. So, thanks to Peter for this excellent effort and to all those who have supported him.
